Instructions & Examination Method

Instructions & Examination Method: 

The Method of Instructions is based on Open Learning System Term end examination will be held as per scheme notified from time to time. Examination schedule will be  intimate in the Student's login and via letter also. The students check his login for the examinations schedule.

Medium of Examination:

Examinations will be conducted in English Medium only.

Time & Duration of Examination:

Examinations will be conducted Two times a year in April & September on all working days. There will be examinations of three hour duration.

Examination Procedures:

The student is assessed based on work and examination for every program. Student can exercise the option to clear the papers in piece-meal whenever examination is held/request. Our flexible examination system allows a student is to re-appear for examination in such subjects only which he/she could not successfully complete.

Modes of Examination:

There are three modes of examinations and students are required to opt for any one. The examination option is as under;

  1. Centre Examination (Currently Stoped)
  2. Online Examination
  3. Assignment Base Examination

Centre Examination:

Examinations are also held at the authorized IIPTS examination centres throughout India subject to the availability of sufficient number of examinees at the given place and examination Centres will be allotted all over India depending on the availability of specific number of students. This Mode of Examination currently closed due to CORONA.

On-Line Examination:

For the benefit of the students the examinations can be scheduled online. Students can take “online” examination anywhere in the world using a computer with internet access. Effective use of online examination method can help distance learning mode students in numerous ways since it is cost effective and easy to use. The questions are objective / multiple choices and result is auto generated. Instructions for appearing in the online examination are communicated along with the admission letter.

Assignment Based Examination:

Institute has provision for assignment based postal term end examination also.  As soon as the students are ready to take the exams they are required to call the institute for question papers which are to be answered from the comfort of their homes. Under this scheme, term end assignments (for term End examination) are sent to the student (under confidential cover) by post as per term end examination schedule. The candidates are required to submit the Study material based periodical assignments and assignment for Term End Examination answers within the prescribed time limit to the institute through courier/speed post.

This mode is useful for such students who are already working / studying and can not attend to the fixed time schedule of the term-end examination and in this option, students are not required to attend Institute/centre for the examination.

Pre Examination Fee:

Examination fee for term end examination is charged @ Rs.1000/- Per Year/Semester. The examination fee is paid to the Institute before the roll number and also according to the examination schedule on prescribed option form for term-end examination.

Re-Examination:

Any student who fails to qualify a given paper or has absented, can rewrite the same on payment of re-examination fee @ Rs. 500/- for each such paper.

Term End Examination(Results):

Students can check your result online @ https://iipts.ac.in/student_user and also check their marks online @ https://iipts.ac.in/student_user. Marks secured in each subject in the term-end examinations including respective assignments are intimated to the student through progressive evaluation card sheet within one month of the completion of each term-end examination. Complete statement of marks is, however, issued on successful completion of all subjects of study.

Re-schedule of Semesters:

Semesters are likely to be re-scheduled if a student fails to adhere to the semester, examination and fee schedule initially intimated to him. Such rescheduling calls for re-schedule fee @ Rs.1000/-.

Note: Tax applicable as per Govt of India notification on fees.

Grading of Examination:

The passing certificate with grades accompanied by the semester wise Mark lists will be forwarded across the students after obtaining an overall pass status in the examinations conducted.
      Minimum marks needed to acquire a Pass status in each paper: 40%
      Minimum marks needed to acquire an Overall Pass status (Aggregate): 45%
      Minimum Marks needed to acquire a 'C Grade' status (Aggregate): 45 to 54.99%
      Minimum Marks needed to acquire a 'B Grade' status (Aggregate): 55 to 64.99%
      Minimum Marks needed to acquire a 'A Grade' status (Aggregate): 65 to 74.99%
      Minimum Marks needed to acquire an 'A+ Grade' Status (Aggregate): Above 75%
      Minimum Marks needed to acquire Scholarship (Aggregate): Above 90%

Examination Result:

Examination results will be published within 30 working days & certificate will be issued within 60 working days after the final exam or receipt of complete set of answer papers and respective assignments/ case study project.

Reissue the Certificate : 

If Students lost their certificate the re-issue charge will be Rs. 1000.
